Once upon a time, when I was getting my education, we used chemicals, film, and a lot of auxiliary equipment… This was long before the digital age, in the analog era. Our darkrooms did not resemble hospital rooms. They were filled with objects that made up a photographer's life and were tools of their trade. Wooden tripods, jars of chemicals, cabinets with interchangeable lenses, drapes, costumes for models - everything bore the imprint of the master's personality. These objects were collected and kept throughout one’s life. There were packs of film in my fridge, and in the bathroom, you could find jars of reagents…
