Once upon a time, cars weren't just utilitarian objects. They were luxury items, often purchased once in the owner’s lifetime, and they'd accompany their driver in life and sometimes even in death. However, there existed cars that were even more special. They weren't made to drive you to the mall or to work. Instead, they were created just to be on the road. To drive around, not to get to a destination. Now that seems as strange as the modern morning jogs for pleasure would to someone from the Victorian era. Meet the roadster, often the most inexpensive car in a brand's lineup. When you drove one, you heard much more than just the purr of the engine, unmuffled by the roof. You also heard the wind. The crackle of the heated hood. And something you can only hear in a roadster - the squeal of tires on the asphalt.
